What is Relative volume (%) at same time?
Same-time relative volume compares a stock’s accumulated volume with the volume it normally has traded by that point in the session. It puts session progress into the comparison: an early-day total is judged against usual early-day activity. This differs from the relative-volume filter that compares one candle with its preceding 15 candles.
An illustrative example
Relative volume (%) at same time in practice
If a stock usually trades 500,000 shares by 10:00 and has traded 1 million by 10:00 today, the value is 200%. That describes cumulative participation up to that time. It does not necessarily imply that the latest 5-minute candle itself has unusual volume.
