What is Percentage range (%)?
Percentage range describes the relative span between the highest and lowest prices during the chosen period. It measures movement breadth rather than the net change between starting and ending prices. ChartsWatcher supports intraday options, today, 10 days and 20 days. A stock can have a wide range yet finish near where it began.

Suppose a stock’s reported 15-minute percentage range is 6%, but its net 15-minute change is only 0.5%. A range condition above 5% includes it because the interval covered a wide span. A percentage-change screen above 5% would answer a different question.
