What is Decimal $?
The Decimal $ filter extracts the fractional dollar portion of the current stock price. A price of $123.45 produces 0.45, while $123.00 produces 0.00. This is a repeating price-position measure: it describes where the quote sits within each dollar, rather than the stock’s total price or its distance from a particular fixed price target.
An illustrative example
Decimal $ in practice
A decimal condition from 0.95 to 0.99 would identify prices just below the next whole dollar, such as $12.97 and $108.98. Pairing that condition with a $10–$20 price range would retain the first example and exclude the second, higher-priced stock.
