Understand the metric
What is Consecutive candles?
Consecutive candles counts an uninterrupted sequence of closed green or red candles. Positive values represent green candles and negative values represent red candles: +3 means three green closes in sequence, while −5 means five red ones. ChartsWatcher offers 1-minute, 2-minute, 5-minute, 15-minute and daily options, so the same count can describe very different durations.
An illustrative example
Consecutive candles in practice
On the 5-minute setting, a reading of +4 means four consecutive closed green candles. It does not mean a 4% gain. A reading of −4 represents four red candles instead. Selecting the daily setting makes each counted candle a daily candle.

A more deliberate stock screen.
Create a ChartsWatcher toplist for sustained candle sequences, then pair the count with percentage change and relative volume. The count identifies continuity; those extra columns help reveal whether the sequence covers meaningful distance or consists of several small candles with little activity.
ChartsWatcher lets you combine this filter with other criteria in a toplist and rank the results by the columns you care about. Keep the shortlist beside charts, stock news, and watchlists in your own layout.

How do I add Consecutive candles in ChartsWatcher?
Open or create a toplist and add Consecutive candles to its filter configuration. Choose the available options and the bounds that fit your screen. Combine it with other metrics to narrow the results. Filters can also refine which stocks qualify for an alert.
What should I check when interpreting this filter?
Consecutive color does not measure candle size or prove uninterrupted price movement within each candle. A long sequence can still have a small net change.
From an idea to your own scan.
